Since 12/08/2016, GNO has been awarded the FSSC 22000 certificate by ISACERT BV, a Vincotte Company based in Belgium.
In the year 2013, Mr. Frank Demaeght, CEO of Groupe Number One (GNO), ambitiously decided to implement a quality management and Food Safety system to the Standard FSSC 22000.
In order to prepare for this certification, GNO has invested a lot in infrastructure, training of its staff to implement the Quality management and Food Safety System between the years 2013 and 2016.
FSSC 22000 is a food safety management certification recognized by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and is composed of more than 100 ISO 22000 Standard requirements, upgraded with almost 100 extra requirements of Sector Specific Pre-Requisite programs and extra FSSC 22000 requirements.
GNO has taken the challenge in Africa to opt for FSSC 22000 because of its global recognition and worldwide credibility.
GNO wants to further build confidence by maintaining a systematic management protocol for pre requisite programs (PRPs), with control focused on what is really necessary, taking varied customer requirements into account.
