Celebrating the Agropastoral World.
Under the high patronage of Madame Olive Lembe, and in collaboration with the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC) and the Société Coopérative Agropastorale du Katanga (SCAK), Made4U is organizing the First Edition of the Agropastoral Fair of Haut-Katanga (FAHK).
This fair will take place outdoors at the Kamipini Farm, on April 22 and 23, 2017.
The FAHK will bring together local and regional producers of all sizes and as well as many other players in the agricultural world (input suppliers, suppliers of agricultural machinery, logistics companies and transporters, banks and many other suppliers of technological products and solutions. ).
Two main objectives are to be remembered:
1. Learn, network, promote your farm and the agricultural world
In order to strengthen everyone’s knowledge, several conferences held by professionals working in different sectors (agriculture, fish farming, pigs, cattle, etc.) will be organized. Numerous technical advisers (veterinarians, agronomists, etc.) will also be available throughout the weekend to give practical advice to producers and answer various questions. Meetings with many companies active in the agricultural world can be of great help to producers. From there, new collaborations can emerge. Producers will have the opportunity to exhibit their production. Thus, breeders will have at their disposal exhibition boxes in which they can present some animals (cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, etc.) from their farm, exchange them or sell them. Market gardeners and other producers will have stands at their disposal where they can exhibit and sell their produce to many visitors. Competitions between producers will also be organized (poultry, goats, sheep, etc.). A great opportunity for those who wish, to highlight their breeding.
2. Discover the agricultural world
The FAHK will be open to the general public. Uninitiated people will have the opportunity to come with family or friends to discover the agricultural world of our region. It will also be an opportunity for everyone to understand the issues and difficulties encountered by professionals in the sector.
